Athar publishes original writing that helps readers understand a topic, make an informed decision or encounter a fresh perspective. A human editor decides what is published; automated checks only flag issues for review.

Original work

Authors must submit their own writing and declare its originality. Plagiarism, undisclosed copied passages, fabricated experiences and AI-generated articles are not accepted. Cite sources, identify quotations and obtain permission for copyrighted images.

Accuracy and sources

Check names, dates, statistics and claims before submitting. Link to primary sources where possible, distinguish opinion from fact, and disclose conflicts of interest. Health and financial writing must not promise results or replace professional advice.

Review and publication

Submissions require at least 300 words, a relevant image, a category, clear headings and an accurate summary. Editors evaluate clarity, usefulness, evidence, originality and safety. They may request revisions, reject or remove a piece. A quality score is a guide, never an automatic publication decision.

Corrections and complaints

We correct material mistakes and may update or remove content that breaches these standards. Send a link and details through our contact page. We review substantiated concerns and distinguish corrections from changes in opinion.

Advertising independence

Advertising and potential author earnings do not determine editorial approval. Sponsored material, if offered, must be clearly identified; authors must not inflate traffic or click their own ads.
